YouTube app monitoring
Last updated :
The "YouTube Monitoring" feature allows you to check which videos your child has watched. It also blocks searches if a blocked keyword is included in the search query.
1. YouTube Monitoring
You can turn on this feature as follows:
Rules → App tab → Lab → YouTube Monitoring → Turn on

Once the feature is enabled, your YouTube app viewing history will be monitored. Detailed viewing history from the YouTube app prior to enabling this feature will not be shown.
2. YouTube Search Blocking
When the "YouTube Monitoring" feature is enabled, it works in conjunction with the Keyword Blocking feature in the Web tab to block searches on YouTube that contain harmful or blocked keywords.
The setup steps are as follows:
• Rules → Web tab → Keyword Blocking → Enter keywords to block → Turn on
• Rules → Web tab → Harmful Keyword Blocking → Turn on
• Rules → Web tab → Harmful Keyword Blocking → Turn on

- This feature is supported starting from v4.9.
- While it detects almost all viewing history, it is a Lab feature and 100% functionality is not guaranteed.
- The "Harmful Keyword Blocking" feature operates sensitively. For example, a search for "online gaming" may be blocked because it contains the keyword "gay," which is classified as a harmful keyword. Please use this feature selectively as needed.
