How to set up SafeSearch
Last updated :
When using Google Search, you can use SafeSearch to filter out explicit content from your search results. Explicit search results include content such as pornography, violence, and gore. SafeSearch only works on Google search results. Explicit content found through other search engines or on websites you visit directly will not be filtered.
Below are the instructions on how to turn on the SafeSearch feature and prevent your child from changing it.
1. On the child's device, open the Chrome app
→ Go to google.com → (Bottom of the screen) Settings → Search settings → SafeSearch → Hide explicit results → Check the box → Click the Save button <Figure 1, 2>
2. Child's Rule Settings → Labs → Block Google Search Settings → Turn on <Figure 3>
After this, even if the child attempts to change these settings, they will be blocked as shown in <Figure 4>.

After this, even if the child attempts to change these settings, they will be blocked as shown in <Figure 4>.
Even if this option is not turned on and Google search results are not filtered, the websites accessed are always monitored by the Mobile Fence harmful content blocking system, which blocks access to harmful/adult websites.
